Description
An Information Requirements Specification (IRS) shall generally be included with Enquiry Requisitions and/or Purchase Orders (POs) raised by Company and/or Contractor for the supply of Air Compressor Package in accordance with API 672 on Projects, to identify the Information (Documents, Data & Models) that Suppliers are expected to provide to support the completion and delivery of that equipment.
The purpose of this IRS is to define Information requirements for the supply of Air Compressor Package in accordance with API 672 for application in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries.
The ‘Guidance’ tab outlines the scope, content and gives instruction to Package Requisition Engineers (PREs) and/or Buyers on how to interpret & complete the ‘IRS Cover’, ‘Submission Requirements’ and ‘Content’ tabs of this workbook.
The JIP33 standardised procurement specifications have a common document structure comprising the four documents as shown below which together with the purchase order Scope define the overall technical specification for procurement.

It is required to use all of these documents in conjunction with each other when applying this Specification, as follows:

In the event of a conflict between this Specification and a relevant local law or regulation, the relevant law or regulation shall be followed. If this Specification creates a higher obligation, it shall be followed as long as this also achieves full compliance with the law or regulation.
